For Benise, music has always been a journey, from his humble beginnings as a street performer to being featured on the number-one–rated show in the United States—Dancing with the Stars—and performing around the world. His expressive Spanish guitar arrangements stem from influences around the world, carrying listeners to such culturally rich destinations as Spain, Africa, Brazil, the Mediterranean, Cuba, India, and Egypt.

Born in Toronto to Greek parents, Pavlo has made a name for himself by offering a musical amalgam he calls “Mediterranean music”—a blend of Greek, flamenco, Latin, and Balkan flavors, wrapped in contemporary pop. Across his 20-year career, the internationally renowned and award-winning songwriter and performer has released 15 albums, including four PBS concert specials. His music has taken him around the world; along the way, he’s performed for King Charles III and other royalty and performed with artists such as José Feliciano, Jon Secada, Olivia Newton-John, and the Tenors.
