Concert Details

Saxophonist Steve Cole is one of the most celebrated players in contemporary jazz. The Chicago native exploded onto the scene in 1998 with Stay Awhile, which was produced by fellow Chicagoan Brian Culbertson. The album scored multiple hit singles and earned Cole the Oasis Smooth Jazz Award for Best New Artist.

In addition to his work as a solo artist, Cole has performed and recorded with Buddy Guy, Boz Scaggs, Larry Carlton, Cyrus Chestnut, KMFDM, and more, and he has been a featured soloist with the City of Prague Orchestra and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. His 12^th solo album, Sleight of Hand, showcases Cole’s signature saxophone sound but also features guest performances from guitar virtuoso Cory Wong and Hammond B3 master Ricky Peterson.
