Our Commitment to Your Health and Safety

MIM has thoroughly reviewed our daily operations to provide you with the safest possible guest experience. We look forward to welcoming you back to our spacious galleries to enjoy a meaningful and fun visit, and we hope the following information will assure you that your safety is our priority. At this time, all large events, programs, concerts, and guided tours remain cancelled. Group sizes are limited to no more than 10 persons. Café Allegro also remains closed until further notice, although there are contactless “grab-and-go” refreshments available for purchase in the Café Allegro area.

Changes We’ve Made:

Hygiene and Sanitization

  • All guests ages 2 and up are required to wear a face mask covering their nose and mouth. Complimentary masks are available at entry. All MIM team members are also required to wear masks.
  • Increased frequency of disinfecting high-touch and public areas, including MIM’s guidePORT technology
  • Single-use, pre-packaged headsets will be provided to all guests.
  • Hand-sanitizing stations throughout galleries and other public spaces
  • Handwashing and general hygiene reminders posted in restrooms

Social Distancing

  • We have implemented a social distancing experience with markers on the floor and signage. Please be aware and respectful of maintaining a 6-foot distance from other parties.
  • All large events, programs, concerts, and guided tours remain cancelled.
  • Group sizes are limited to no more than 10 persons.

Minimal-Contact Purchasing

  • Please purchase your admission tickets on MIM.org. When you arrive, present your smartphone or a printout for touchless scanning.
  • Tickets may still be purchased at the museum.
  • The Museum Store offers a minimal-contact experience. Curbside pickup of online and phone orders is available beginning August 10.

Be aware of others’ space and maintain a 6-foot distance between you and other parties.

Wear a mask. We have complimentary masks available at entry if you do not have one.

When is the best time to visit MIM to avoid crowds?

The galleries are typically busiest from 10 a.m. to noon. Weekdays tend to be less busy than weekends.

Am I required to wear a mask?

Can I buy my tickets online?

We recommend that you purchase your admission online ahead of time to streamline your arrival. Present your printed-out receipt or smartphone at the Guest Service desk. Tickets may also be purchased at the museum.

I bought a ticket but now I don’t feel well or cannot attend. What should I do?

We will be happy to refund your purchase or honor your ticket at another time. Please contact Guest Service at 480.478.6000 or guestservice@MIM.org.

Is the MIM Music Theater reopening?

The Music Theater remains closed at this time. All large events, programs, and guided tours also remain cancelled until further notice.
