John Smith has built a reputation as one of the UK’s finest guitarists and songwriters. Born in Essex, raised by the Devon seaside, and having made his bones in the bars and clubs of Liverpool, Smith has released eight albums and amassed over 55 million Spotify streams. He has played to audiences all over the world in living rooms, festival tents, and sold-out concert halls. He is a genuine folk singer, an inquisitive truth-seeker, a devoted song interpreter, and an enchanting writer.

His latest album, The Fray, was released in March 2021 on his own imprint, Commoner Records, via Thirty Tigers. The Fray is Smith’s sixth studio album, and his vulnerability throughout is offered to his listeners, unadorned.
