PHOENIX (March 11, 2022) — The MIM Music Theater proudly announces its Summer 2022 Concert Series, with tickets on sale to the public on March 31 at 10:00 a.m. The new series, which runs May through September, includes more than 30 concerts spanning multiple genres and featuring artists from around the world.

This season’s highlights include Grammy-winning jazz-fusion bassist Stanley Clarke; David Bromberg, a master of the guitar, fiddle, dobro, and mandolin; Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and Pandit Subhen Chatterjee, two renowned ambassadors for Indian music and culture; and singer-songwriter Kathy Mattea, who has twice been named Female Vocalist of the Year by the Country Music Association.

The Summer 2022 Concert Series also welcomes several artists who will perform at the MIM Music Theater for the first time. New artists include the Cowboy Junkies, one of the most unique and enduring bands in alternative roots music; Cuban jazz pianist Roberto Fonseca; Emily Wells, whose songs bridge pop and chamber music; and the Brennen Leigh Trio, led by a singer-songwriter inspired by Western swing.

Concertgoers can also look forward to the return of several favorites to the MIM Music Theater, including Grammy and Tony Award–winning jazz giant Dee Dee Bridgewater; the Villalobos Brothers, a leading contemporary Mexican ensemble; captivating storyteller and singer-songwriter Joe Purdy; River Whyless; and Robbie Fulks, a noted alternative country singer-songwriter currently leading a bluegrass trio.

The MIM Music Theater often presents nearly 300 concerts each year, and more than 150 Grammy-winning artists have performed on its stage. The theater has been recognized as one of the top music venues of its size anywhere in the world. Audiences and musicians have praised its unparalleled intimate atmosphere and acoustically superb sound quality.

“When you look at the MIM Music Theater, perhaps more so than any other theater in Phoenix, we have programming that isn’t just robust—it’s music of incredible quality that spans the entire world,” says Patrick Murphy, MIM Music Theater manager.

Tickets go on sale to members who give $250+ annually on Wednesday, March 23, at the Summer 2022 Concert Series Preview Event. Circle of Friends members starting at $250 enjoy exclusive theater benefits, including advance purchase opportunities for concerts and invitations to Concert Series Previews with MIM’s artistic director.
