Tom Rush’s impact on American music is profound. He helped shape the folk revival in the 1960s, and his music left its stamp on generations of artists in the folk renaissance of the 1980s and 1990s. His early recordings introduced the world to the work of Taylor, Joni Mitchell, and Jackson Browne, and his Club 47 concerts brought attention to artists such as Nanci Griffith and Shawn Colvin.
