Internationally acclaimed folk artist Joe Purdy has released 14 albums in 15 years. Along the way, his songs have turned up on numerous TV shows and film soundtracks, and he costarred in and contributed to the soundtrack to the award-winning film American Folk.

Purdy’s determination to honor the giants of American folk music while applying his formidable skills as a writer and vocalist reveal him to be a compassionate observer of and participant in our times. His 2016 album, Who Will Be Next?, is deeply rooted in the tradition of artists such as Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Phil Ochs, and Bob Dylan.

Purdy’s 15th album, Coyote, came out in early March.
