The leaders of the smooth jazz supergroup Jazz Funk Soul are three of the most important contemporary jazz hitmakers on the scene today.
After six Grammy nominations, Jeff Lorber scored his first Grammy win in 2018 for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album. Considered a master craftsman jazz pianist, Lorber has distinguished himself as a writer and producer with collaborations with artists including Chick Corea, Dave Koz, Kenny G, and Gerald Albright. Along with the fourth Jazz Funk Soul album released in 2019, Lorber also has 13 solo albums to his credit.
Highlights from the distinguished career of Grammy-nominated saxophonist Everette Harp include jamming with President Bill Clinton and performing with Aretha Franklin, Billy Joel, Chaka Khan, Stanley Clarke, and Dianne Reeves. In addition to seven solo albums, Harp has appeared on all four Jazz Funk Soul recordings since he co-founded the group in 2014 with Jeff Lorber and the late Chuck Loeb.
