Authentic and excellent are the words most often used to describe the duo Gypsy Soul and its music. Their multicultural heritage helps influence both their message and sound, attracting audiences with their soulful blend of roots, pop, blues, and jazz. Their wistful story began in Scotland when Roman Morykit (from United Kingdom) and Cilette Swann (from Canada / United States) made a promise to each other to make both their living and their lives from their art.

Like its creators, Gypsy Soul’s music is much like fine fusion cuisine . . . Italian, Irish, South African, and Ukrainian to be precise. As with any work of art, their music is born from heartache, struggle, love, and determination infused with many textures, nuances, and flavors. Their message is both universal and intimate—familiar yet otherworldly.

During their twenty-year career, the pair has had a Top 40 hit (“Silent Tears”) and has won numerous songwriting and performance awards, including International Acoustic Music Awards, Independent Music Awards, and honors at the Lilith Fair Music Festival.

They have also garnered Critic’s Choice accolades in over seventy magazines and newspapers and have had their music played in numerous hit television shows and films. Most recently, songs from their latest album, True, are being performed throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Continental Europe.
