Experience the dynamic talents of Arizona-based flutists during Flute Fridays, a series of pop-up performances at MIM on select Friday afternoons from January through April. Explore the history and enduring impact of the flute even further with a visit to MIM’s breathtaking special exhibition The Magical Flute: Beauty, Enchantment, and Power.
Flute Fridays performances take place in central El Río. Seating is limited; first come, first served. All performances begin at 2:15 p.m. and last around 30 minutes. Programming is subject to change.

About the Artist
Jenna Daum is the acting associate principal and second flute of the Phoenix Symphony, where she has been acting second flute since 2012. Daum also serves as instructor of flute at Grand Canyon University and Chandler-Gilbert Community College. She has appeared internationally as a soloist and artist-teacher of the ocarina and is passionate about bringing this ancient instrument to a wider audience. Daum has authored more than 10 books for the ocarina, and in 2016 she premiered Fantasy for Ocarina and Orchestra with the Washington Chamber Orchestra in Washington, DC. As an artist-teacher in the Phoenix Symphony Mind Over Music outreach program, Daum works with kindergarten and special education teachers in Phoenix public schools to help them teach STEM with music.
