They’ve stood the test of time and they’re still striking hot iron with every note.

The Blind Boys of Alabama are recognized worldwide as living legends of gospel music. In a career spanning more than 70 years, they’ve been celebrated by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Recording Academy with lifetime achievement awards, inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, and awarded six Grammys. The Blind Boys cross multiple musical boundaries with their remarkable interpretations of everything from traditional gospel favorites to contemporary spiritual material by songwriters such as Eric Clapton, Prince, and Tom Waits. They have appeared on recordings with many artists, including Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel, Bonnie Raitt, Willie Nelson, Aaron Neville, Ben Harper, and Taj Mahal.
Their latest album, Echoes of the South, won the 2024 Grammy for Best Roots Gospel Album, and they recently released the book Spirit of the Century, an insider history of the Blind Boys of Alabama written with band members and key musical colleagues.
