Ever since Jarrod Lawson released his eponymous debut album in 2014, the smokey-voiced singer-songwriter and virtuoso pianist has been sending positive ripples around the globe. Lawson followed his debut album with the limited edition vinyl EP Jarrod Lawson at the BBC, recorded at London’s historic BBC Maida Vale studios and broadcast on Gilles Peterson: Worldwide.

Lawson was named Soul Artist of the Year by the Jazz FM Awards in 2017. He has performed on the Capital Jazz Cruise and has appeared in leading jazz clubs across the United States and on the stages of international festivals including Rotterdam’s North Sea Jazz Festival, the UK’s Love Supreme Festival, and the Java Jazz Festival in Jakarta, Indonesia. His second album, Be the Change, was released in 2020.
