Curator Talk: Three Instruments That Made Tango

Join Daniel Piper, MIM’s curator for Latin America and the Middle East, to discover how the guitar, bandoneón, and violin helped shape tango’s distinctive sound, from the working-class neighborhoods of Buenos Aires to the sophisticated stages of Argentina and Europe. Explore historic Argentine tango instruments from MIM’s collection and hear how tango became a musical tradition around the world.
