Jeff Dayton has been playing guitar and performing all his life. He loves the concentrated creative scene in Nashville. But his roots are in Minnesota, and his years performing in Arizona earned him a job leading Glen Campbell’s band for 15 years. He has also backed the likes of Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, Toby Keith, Buck Owens, Bo Diddley, Dizzy Gillespie, and many more. Dayton has mostly focused on writing and producing since arriving in Nashville, but his reputation and guitar skills have taken him on tours with Kenny Chesney, Lee Greenwood, Sarah Darling, Tammy Cochran, and others.
Dayton’s years as Glen Campbell’s bandleader and guitarist were filled with shows, adventures, and stories. Campbell remains one of America’s most loved and most respected country-pop artists, and people still demand to hear his music, even after his death in 2017. With his salute to Campbell, Dayton answers that call.
