Curator Talk: Tradition and Change—MIM’s Irish Instruments 1:15 p.m. Event Room 2 Irish traditional music has contributed to Ireland’s national identity and continues to inspire musicians and instrument makers around the world. Hear Richard Walter, PhD, curator for United States / Canada and Europe, discuss iconic Irish musical instruments and performance traditions with a special focus on the highlights in MIM’s Ireland exhibit.
Dance Workshop 2:30 p.m. Event Room 2 Experience the high kicks and rhythmic footwork of Irish step dancing at a workshop presented by the Bracken School of Irish Dance.
