Concert Details
Both Sides Now is a theatrical concert exploring the music and lives of longtime friends and one-time lovers Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen. Created and performed by Robbie Schaefer and Danielle Wertz, this intimate, cabaret-style experience weaves together iconic songs such as “A Case of You,” “Hallelujah,” “Big Yellow Taxi,” and “Suzanne.” Rooted in the spirit of the 1960s and ’70s yet deeply relevant today, the performance reflects on love, longing, and the beautifully messy nature of being human.
Robbie Schaefer is a singer-songwriter, rabbi, and theater artist best known as a founding member of the indie-folk band Eddie from Ohio. A dynamic storyteller, he has shared the stage with artists such as Jason Mraz, Sara Bareilles, Josh Groban, Keb’ Mo’, and Emmylou Harris. Danielle Wertz is a vocalist, composer, and arranger who is a rising presence in contemporary jazz. She has earned international recognition through acclaimed recordings, major competition honors, and collaborations across genres.
