Matteo Mancuso was a musical prodigy from an early age. His introduction to the world of music was guided by his father, Vincenzo, a well-known guitarist and producer, who was mentor and master during his son’s formative years. Mancuso later studied jazz guitar at the conservatory in his hometown of Palermo. In 2017, Mancuso’s first trio, the Snips, had their first viral video on YouTube. Soon, guitar heroes no less than Al Di Meola, Steve Vai, and Joe Bonamassa were offering their praise and welcoming Mancuso into the rich lineage of great Italian guitarists. In 2020, Mancuso formed the Matteo Mancuso Trio and began composing original material and working on The Journey, which he released in 2023.
