The Johnny A. Trio stands out as a beacon of authenticity, artistry, and soul. Helmed by acclaimed guitarist Johnny A., the trio presents a master class in musicianship, bringing together three seasoned pros who share a deep reverence for the roots of rock, blues, jazz, and soul and a passion for pushing those genres into exciting new territory. Setlists weave through Johnny A.’s acclaimed catalog but also feature inventive covers and improvisational moments that blur the lines between genres.

Alongside Johnny A. will be bassist Dean Cassell and drummer Marty Richards. Cassell is a Grammy-nominated bassist who has performed with such renowned artists as Susan Tedeschi and Bo Diddley. He has toured extensively and is a member of the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame. Richards is a versatile drummer known for his impeccable timing. He has performed with artists such as Duke Robillard, the J. Geils Band, and Norah Jones and has recorded more than 150 albums. He is also a member of the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame.
