AJ Lee and Blue Summit is an award-winning bluegrass band from the California Bay Area. Energetic, charming, and technically jaw-dropping, the band is one of the most exciting and fast-rising groups in its scene today. Its core members met as teenagers, picking and jamming together at local bluegrass festivals. They still carry that youthful, festival parking lot energy, yet there’s a genuine ease and confidence to their music making.

2024 was a breakout year for the band, currently made up of mandolinist AJ Lee, fiddler Jan Purat, guitarists Scott Gates and Sullivan Tuttle (younger brother of Molly Tuttle), and bassist Sean Newman. It released it critically acclaimed album City of Glass. In 2025, the band continued to pack major venues around the United States and play major festivals, and it released Cover to Cover V1, an EP of cover songs.
