From their days playing together as teenagers through years of inventive psychedelic rock as members of 1996 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Jefferson Airplane to their current acoustic blues sound, perhaps no one has more consistently impacted American music over the past 50 years than Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady, the founders and continuing core members of Hot Tuna.

Started as a side project during the Jefferson Airplane days, the defining constant of Hot Tuna has always been Kaukonen and Casady. The boyhood friends have never wavered in one of the most enduring friendships in rock history. At the 2016 Grammy Awards, Kaukonen and Casady were honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards. They continue to perform with well-honed and solid power, always in the groove from their years of experience and mutual inspiration.
