Concert Details
Identical twins and Juilliard graduates Peter and Will Anderson are two of today’s most extraordinary jazz woodwind players. They have performed with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, Wycliffe Gordon, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Paquito D’Rivera, and Wynton Marsalis, and they can be heard on the 2011 Grammy-winning soundtrack of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire with Vince Giordano’s Nighthawks.
The Anderson Brothers will explore the music of Henry Mancini—one of the greatest composers in the history of film—with a fascinating narrative, entertaining video presentation, and live performance featuring saxophonist Vince Giordano. Among Mancini’s legendary compositions are “Moon River,” “Days of Wine and Roses,” and the themes to The Pink Panther and Peter Gunn.
“Virtuosos on . . . clarinet and saxophone.”
New York Times
“Imaginatively unfolding in ways that consistently bring a fresh perspective to classic pop and jazz tunes.”
