Concert Details

New Jazz Underground is an innovative trio establishing itself as a defining voice in jazz. Its music merges the traditional sensibilities of jazz with the modern influence of hip hop, pop, and Afro-Latino music. Hundreds of thousands of people have viewed the viral videos of the band performing in its living room and showing off its exuberant chemistry and effortless musicality.

Saxophonist Abdias Armenteros, bassist Sebastian Rios, and drummer TJ Reddick have each been lauded as one of jazz’s most promising young artists. After meeting at Juilliard, they began playing in New York City parks in 2020. Their releases and YouTube channel fully demonstrate the trio’s reverence towards jazz’s icons yet still find it establishing its own voice and transcending genre lines.
