Kofi Baker and Malcolm Bruce honor the incredible legacy of their fathers Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce who, along with Eric Clapton, formed the groundbreaking power trio Cream. Now, nearly 60 years after the psychedelic blues rock supergroup burst onto the global scene, Kofi Baker and Malcom Bruce are joined by Ginger Baker’s grandnephew Rob Johnson in performing Cream classics as well as select songs from other bands of the period, such as Blind Faith, Ginger Baker and Eric Clapton’s band with Steve Winwood and Ric Grech.

Moving beyond the confines of a typical tribute act, Sons of Cream eschews note-for-note reproduction of the originals, choosing instead to inhabit the music of Cream by treating it as a living organism, a starting point from which to cultivate a continuing creative lineage. Sons of Cream carry on the incredible musical legacy they have inherited, arriving at the heart of the music while truly making it their own.
