SUMMARY:Pam Tillis
DESCRIPTION:The daughter of legendary country hitmaker Mel Tillis\, Pam Tillis was determined from a young age to make her own way in the music business as a singer and songwriter. After many false starts and much soul-searching\, Tillis came to the attention of Arista Nashville and committed to making an honest country record. The resulting album\, Put Yourself in My Place\, established Tillis as a performer in her own right\, yielded two number one singles (“Don’t Tell Me What to Do” and “Maybe It Was Memphis”)\, and was certified gold. Three platinum albums on Arista followed: Homeward Looking Angel in 1992\, Sweetheart’s Dance in 1994\, and a greatest hits compilation in 1997. \nAcross her career\, more than 30 of Tillis’s singles and 10 of her studio albums have charted—including her favorite\, 2002’s It’s All Relative: Tillis Sings Tillis\, a critically acclaimed tribute to her father. Tillis has also been nominated for nine Academy of Country Music Awards\, multiple Grammys\, and an American Music Award.

SUMMARY:Jim Messina
DESCRIPTION:Jim Messina is an expert in the fine art of creating hit songs. His legacy spans six decades\, three supergroups\, a vibrant solo career\, and scores of producing and engineering credits. \nMessina was first linked to Buffalo Springfield\, producing and engineering for the band before joining as a bass player. When Buffalo Springfield disbanded in 1968\, Messina and Richie Furay formed Poco\, one of the first and longest-lasting country-rock groups. \nIn 1970\, Messina was asked to work with a then-unknown Kenny Loggins. Over the next seven years\, Loggins and Messina released eight hit records\, charted 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100\, and sold more than 16 million albums. After Loggins and Messina’s partnership dissolved\, Messina embarked on a solo career. \nMessina’s touring band comprises acclaimed musicians who have played with him at various points\, and they perform hits from across Messina’s vaunted career.

SUMMARY:Alan Doyle
DESCRIPTION:There are few artists capable of appealing to music fans of all stripes\, and Alan Doyle is one of them. Doyle is a Canadian musician\, actor\, and author best known as the lead singer of the Celtic-rock band Great Big Sea. The Newfoundland native launched his solo career in 2012\, has written three bestselling books\, and has appeared in and produced various films and television series\, including Robin Hood and Republic of Doyle. \nExpect the unexpected from Welcome Home\, Doyle’s fourth full-length solo studio album and 20th overall. Doyle explores slower songs and lower vocal ranges on this latest album\, but Welcome Home has party tracks aplenty—notably the rollicking\, Celtic\, fiddle-and-accordion–goosed title track.
