Few drum legends are more iconic than Terry Bozzio, with his monster sculpture of a drum kit. Over the last four decades, he has built an extraordinary legacy based on his unique approach to rhythm and the diverse and acclaimed recordings to which he has contributed. Bozzio’s current drum kit includes more than one hundred tuned drums, cymbals, and percussion instruments, some of which are his own inventions. Drawing from jazz, classical, and ethnic percussion styles from around the world, he enthralls audiences with space, classical forms and structures, ambient electronic loops, and atmospheric percussion effects, as well as some riveting drumming.
Bozzio is best known for his work with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame artist Frank Zappa. Bozzio has also worked with Jeff Beck, Korn, Robbie Robertson, Allan Holdsworth, Tony Levin, Steve Vai, Quincy Jones, and many other artists.
One of rock drumming’s most formidable and brain-circuiting forces.
