Patty Peterson was born into “Minnesota’s First Family of Music,” The Peterson Family, all of whom are recording artists and involved in the international music scene. As a vocalist, Peterson has performed to sold-out audiences all over the country, such as the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Vibrato in Beverly Hills, California; Catalina’s Jazz Club in Los Angeles, California; and the Jazz Bakery in Hollywood, California. She received the coveted Minnesota Music Award seven times for best vocalist as well as best jazz recording, and in 2010 she was inducted into the Mid America Hall of Fame.
Peterson has released four solo recordings, featuring the likes of Sheila E., David Hazeltine, Stokley Williams, and Ira Sullivan, as well as her mother, Jeanne Arland Peterson and her brothers, Billy Peterson, Ricky Peterson, and Paul Peterson. She is in the process of working on a new solo recording.
