Ken Koshio and Kenzoo use Japanese taiko drums to create harmony with universal vibrations and celebrate life. Their music is traditional, but it also incorporates a fusion of new elements to excite, heal, and communicate with audiences through the universal language of music.

Koshio was born in Nagoya, Japan, but he has been sharing his wish for hope and new beginnings with the people of his adopted country, the United States, since 1998. He was a folk-rock musician in Los Angeles for seven years. In 2004, he moved to Phoenix and started playing Japanese music, blending his culture with his rock ’n’ roll career. Upon beating a taiko drum for the first time in Phoenix, he realized the tradition was in his DNA—making him the multifaceted performer he is now.
