Step into the cherished Argentine tradition of the tango with a guest lecture, a beginner-friendly dance workshop, and an enchanting performance. The day will conclude with a milonga, bringing guests and performers together in a one-of-a-kind social dance.

Craft: Bandoneón 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Make a craft version of one of tango’s most essential instruments, the bandoneón, a type of concertina popular in Argentina and Uruguay.
Culture Talk: The Dance That Teaches Love 11:00 a.m.–noon Learn about the history, culture, and music of the tango, the iconic dance from Argentina and Uruguay. Hear from Judah Page, dancer and teacher at Tango Arizona, and local bandoneón player and maker, Mauro Segura.
Learn and Dance the Tango 1:00–3:00 p.m. Experience a lively performance of tango with dancers and musicians from Tango Arizona, followed by an introductory dance class and an opportunity to participate in a “mini” milonga, the social dance party of Argentine tango culture!
