Brian Chartrand, Jay Allan, and Matthew Thornton present Tom Petty’s Wildflowers

Concert Details

The music, words, and persona of Tom Petty have been forever sewn into the American musical tapestry and our hearts forever over his vast career. One shining and celebrated moment of that time was the album Wildflowers, released on November 1, 1994. In early 2017, Arizona local singer-songwriters Brian Chartrand, Matthew Thornton, and Jay Allan shared their passion for this record by putting together an incredible group of Phoenix musicians to pay homage to it in their own way by playing the album cover to cover. The group played two of these performances to great acclaim. The second of these shows was two weeks before Tom Petty’s untimely passing. Although originally intended to have the two performances be the only ones of their kind, the group and MIM have decided to collaborate on the project one last time. The all-star lineup includes Ted Belledin on keyboard, Ethan Newman on bass, Jay Poole on guitar, and Roy Cameron on drums. Join us for a very special celebration of Wildflowers at the iconic and intimate MIM Music Theater on Friday night, July 27, 2018.
