PHOENIX (January 30, 2014) The Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) in Phoenix is one of 20 nominees competing for a national top 10 list of best museums for families. MIM is the only Arizona museum selected by a panel of travel experts to compete in the contest, which is being held by 10Best, a division of USA Today Travel.
The top 10 museums will be determined by online public voting, which began Monday, January 20, and concludes Monday, February 17. Competition during the first week of voting was fierce, with MIM rising to the number one spot and then dropping as competition increased.
