Arizona K‒12 educators can visit MIM for free!
MIM is pleased to announce its second annual Educator Appreciation Month being held in July. Current Arizona K‒12 teachers, school and district administrators, registered student teachers, teacher’s aides, and homeschool educators can visit the museum for free by simply showing a school- or district-issued ID, fingerprint clearance card, or (for homeschool educators) an affidavit of intent.
Teachers can take advantage of this complimentary admission to learn about the wide range of educational programs available at MIM. Exhibits at MIM offer learning opportunities across a variety of subjects such as music, social studies, science, and geography. Lesson plans and tour options align directly with Arizona State Academic Standards and also incorporate Arizona Common Core initiatives. Educators can explore the many ways in which MIM can serve as a valuable classroom resource.
Educators will also receive a 10% discount on non-sale books and gifts at the Museum Store during all of July, and those who sign up to receive the Education Department’s newsletter, The Beat!, will be entered into a special prize drawing.
